HST Virgin Trains Reskin

Post by Ferrisybuga »

Since Virgin aren't having all the best luck with their services at the moment I decided to help them out with some of their old HSTstock. Pictured next to g0thick's Virgin Class 47. -Yes I know the numbering is incorrect.

Hey thanks for the coments guys. No I don't have any testers other than myself, and yes i'm checking it all out now - so far no problems except the colouring of the numbers on the stock - yet to be sorted. Does anyone know if Virgin used the buffet car for this set at all?

I will hopefully have it up on this site for download by Saturday - depends how long it takes to be authorised for download.

Not looking too bad in that shot if I say so myself :)

Really excellent work! And yeah, Virgin did use a buffet car. Also, if you don't mind, a TGS would be nice too. And on the power, the white stripes slope a bit too much, look at this photo for what they are actually like:

Last point, the logos on the Mk3 should be smaller as seen here:

Hope you don't mind me pointing out those things :).

Also, if you need it testing I'll be happy to help, richa2002 [at] hotmail.com

Very nice texture work there mate :)

Planning on doing GNER by any chance I should think with that quality you'd be the person to do it :)

I corrected the slope of the stripes on the power unit and resized the logo's.

Rest Unit is taking some work though.

Time for the latest update:

I have managed to reskin: The Power unit
The MK3 First class unit
The MK3 Second class unit

They are all placeable from the editor pannel -the power unit behaves as expected and I have changed the numbering list so the power units are only given numbers that once existed in that livery!

Unfortunately there's no similar MK3 model supplied by Kuju I can reskin to look like the TGS unit and the buffet/rest car has completely messed up while texturing and so that will take a litttle longer - any pictures of the buffet/rest car gratefully appreciated just so I can check them against what I'm doing when I have a second attempt at reskinning that.

Some trustworthy testers required, plus any other details that look wrong please point out! :)

Enjoy the pics:
