Locos not showingup

Post by gamerouche »

Despite downloading twice & following the installation instructions to the letter, i'm unable to get the new Class 47 Scotrail & the Engineers 47 to show up in the game.
I just get a driver sitting in mid air.
All other 47's are showing up for me with no problem.
Any suggestions please?
Thanks

Hi,
Mine are working OK did you install the folders CivilEngineer and ScotRail in C:\Program Files\Rail Simulator\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Diesel\Class47 Folder which contains the BR and default folders. You have to click on the main folder for each download after winzipping to a temporary folder to get to the CivilEngineer and ScotRail folders then copy and paste them into the above folder in RailSimulator. you must have deleted the Blueprints.pak file C:\Program Files\Rail Simulator\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator or they wouldn't show in the UI. I am assuming you have installed RailSimulator to the Default Location.

Hi James, as i stated originally, installation was done by the book, all my other class 47 reskins show up ok. I've even tried again a few minutes ago but to no avail. Blueprints.pak file was deleted as per usual.

Looking through topics you seem to have had this problem before. I have had it only once and that was because I placed the engine folder in the C:\Program Files\Rail Simulator\Assets\Developer\Addon\RailVehicles that's why I suggested checking the folders. KRS sometimes does some weird things. Have you checked the Object flyout in the Global Editor is set with a tick in RailSimulator. Just clutching at straws here !!

I wonder what is causing this to happen that it needs reinstall to put it right. I have done one reinstall so far and that was because I had really messed something up while playing around with the Route Editor.

Yes this program does some strange things sometimes. I am now having problems with a Turntable that worked perfectly yesterday. Not anymore !. Had about four crashes to desktop in the last 3 days with no error box. The program just vanishes!!!. Having said that I am having a great time creating this New Route. Despite it's weird behaviour this is a terrific Program to work with. I can't get away from the computer once I get started.
