That's fine NG pioneering work Kevin, well done. Those drop hook couplers are pure early NZR. I don't like the sound of what you are hinting about the Ffestiniog RW! However, we inhabit a 'sim' world so we can really choose what we want and how we want it.....
I've grown attached to the TS1 version of the wee Welsh line, so a RS version might make me reinstall RS at some future time.

We tend to call them 'choppers' over here in NZland. Although we know they are norwegian couplers, no idea why though. On another note, anyone know the set-up for a working points lever for custom track. I have mine made, animated and exported. Blueprints made up etc, but it's not appearing in game at all. Must be missing something vital, anyone that has done it provide a walkthrough a just a couple picts of blueprints and the 3dCanvas heirachy set up?kevmt wrote:

Hi, I'm new to these forums - found after a recommendation on the 16mmngm yahoo user group!
I've already installed Kevins Corris NG Route, Locos and rolling stock and I must say it's great to have NG in Rail Simulator!
Is the little 2ft gauge Hunslet pictured below already released or a part of a work in progress? It looks wonderful - although cabless, and covered in grime and coal dust would be perfect!

Welcome to the forums
I haven't released Britomart, yet. I haven't making the cab, yet and that is holding things back, somewhat. Once it's finished I envisage releasing several different hunsletts, including the cabless type.
Thanks for the comments on the Corris stuff, though have to say that I didn't make the route. I'm still toying with the idea of making my own version of the Corris, but would have to spend a day or so in the area to take photos etc, esp of Corris Village.

A couple of screenies of my work in progress - since Kev has 'outed' me.

Britomart plus a short train of crated goods for the harbour passes the bus depot - need to reskin some busses... This a version of the Hunslet that Kevin has kindly lent me for testing - not the finished article.

Eden Park is the first station on the Ravenshill Harbour Tramway - still unhappy with the signalling - there's way too much of it.

Probably the most complete scene - this is the 'alley' that leads to the Ravenshill wharf. Need to finish my trawler fleet - the textures that seemed OK for MSTS1 just don't cut it in RS. Also need a slightly more convincing sea wall - this is still minty fresh. Britomart has picked up some different wagons en route, and magically turned around somehow...
I'm finding that although placing scenery is generally slightly easier in RS - especially fences and hedgerows etc - it still takes time to make each scene look convincing. The tramway portion of the route is about 3.6 miles and will be mostly suburban as the railway passes through the industrial areas and outskirts of a medium sized town -and is taking a while to get right.
The 'main line' of the South Weald Light Railway climbs away from the coast and will eventually go about 30 miles inland, serving a chalk pit, 'ore' mine and several farms and estate industries.
I'll probably release it in lumps as bits come good - this seems to be a good feature of KRS...
But that's all for now. This isn't my main project by any means - so no timetables.

I had not thought of using some of the sheds as Bus Stations - another great idea.
