Cargowaggon Twin set couplings.

Post by ThomasTelford »

Hi there folks. :D
I wonder if anyone could help me please?I have a consists that includes a rake of the Eurocargo waggon twin sets but when i try to uncouple them i get the message that says something along these lines......'Wagons of this type cannot be uncoupled' now i know as twin sets that the two wagons that make up the twinset cannot be uncoupled as in real life these are semipermanently coupled together but i should be able to uncouple the next set of twin cargowaggons....should'nt i?Now even more frustrating (but along the same lines)is that one of the twinsets is coupled next to a bogie Cargowaggon(the tops code IWA type) and sadly again it will not allow me to uncouple it giving me the same message.

Many thanks Dominik...aka Thomas Telford.

My mistake.

It's one of my early efforts to resize a continental wagon.
I got the coupling settings wrong.

Alter the CargoTwinRear.wag file to make the first Coupling line Automatic and the second one Bar.

MSTS uses the first entry for the rear coupling and the second for the front.

I'll test it out tomorrow in case there are any other problems.

If it's got buffers it's Chain.

Hi Ian.

First let me thank you for kindly getting back in touch with me about the coupling problem on the EuroTwinset on wagons.I do however still seem to have one problem and that is i cannot change the coupling,or rather i cannot figure out how to do this! Could you (or someone else) kindly let me know how to do this please. (Using the Microsoft Activity editor and not the MSTSbin)

Once again many thanks...Dominik. (Thomas Telford)

PS Happy new year to yourself and all the good people on the Trainsim Forums! :drinking:
