Raildriver question

Post by alalou »

Hi,

My wife offer me a Raildriver today. :D
After installing it using and running some locos I found that the Dynamic Brake and Throttle control is diferent from diesel engines to electric (tested with Dash-9 and Acella Express).
With Dash-9 the control functions as a Dynamic Brake and Throttle.
With Acella the control only works as Throttle being the Neutral position in the control about 50% Throttle on the Acella.

Can anyone with Raildriver help me? Is this the was it suposes to be? :-?

Many thanks.

Correct,

it is supposed to be this way because when the program which runs the raildriver was built, I looked at the Electric loco's and figured that the Throttle should be a full range one rather than the American style since most electrics work this way when driven using a similar control setup.

You will find steam also drives differently also.

if you have any further questions, drop our tech support an email at Tech(at)raildriver.com where they will be able to help.

Thank you very much. :)
What a fast reply. And I was thinking that there was a problem with my Raildriver even after calibrating so many times.
Didn't knew that I could send you an e-mail with this kind of basic questions. I was reading your website but no answer found. I suggest that you build an complete FAQ on your website with this kind of info.

Many thanks once again. :)

The reason we don't have a FAQ is because peoples installations with MSTS Vary so differently from Operating system down to wether they are running MSTSBin or even the Graphics card, its better to email tech support if you have an issue.

Hi,
I've got another question. After trying to calibrate RD the same thing happeans.
The Auto Brake is in REL before the lever in RD is in the REL position. (see picture for better view) This is what the game is telling me.

There is a little error margin I believe. The REL should only be reached when the lever reaches the min. position. Is this way it is supposed to be?

Thanks.

Found the "issue". :P
Just to let you know I download the kit from RD website, played a bit with .eng files and found out that it was happeaning because of defenition in

Code: Select all

Brake_Train
   NumNotches ( xx
    Notch ( xxx ...
it's not a hardware issue!
