Re: Can't Instal Activities
You definitely don't need to reinstall MSTS. First question - do you have the route installed that the activity is for? If you do, have a look at this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... ge#p888480 .
I found it by searching for Failed to open package.

Re: Can't Instal Activities
If they are in a zip or rar you *must* extract them first. For some strange reason, if you double click on an apk file inside winrar or whatever, you get the "failed to open" error. This is the only filetype I have ever seen exhibit this behaviour.

Thanks for the advice as I was just double clicking on the .apk file lol - didn't realise that I had to drag it into the unpacker file lol.

Re: Can't Instal Activities
If you download this natty little fix, you can just double click the .apk from anywhere, including from within winzip/winrar files.

Not quite - I have my system set up with apk files associated to the Windows XP file extractor utility - I've always just double-clicked on the file and it invariably extracts without a problem.thegoonden wrote:If they are in a zip or rar you *must* extract them first. EDIT - Glyn beat me to it as I was cut off from posting while Trainstore did its stuff and ran an act.
