Southern Traction at P'boro Station

Post by ajax103 »

Saw this today and because I've never had the chance to see a 33 in action, I thought it was too good to miss. I was going to get video of it leaving but my job comes first as I had a 365 to clean and when I had finished cleaning it, the damn 33 had already started to move off, which didn't give me a chance to video it but I got a photo before it moved off.

Exactly, I spoke to GNER and they said it was running a hour late so I was lucky I managed to see it when I did, :D

Pardon for asking this but can it be driven from either end ie from the 33 itself or from the Coach?

Indeed, the saloon and the 33 are equipped for push-pull

that i have no idea on :(

As for the make up time-

Little wonder it made up so much time, given 20mins between Stamford and Manton, than 30 odd mins Oakham - Melton....... Say no more!!

RB..

I disagree, I prefer the 170, it might take longer but I'm doing my bit for the environment which is the "IT" thing nowadays,
