EH2 Mk3 Sleepers

Post by RobertM »

Hi all,

Been working away with this little item this afternoon, and am quite pleased with the results :)

All I need help now with is removing the smoking signs, which is being ticky, as there a seperate ACE. file, and if I delete it TS throws a wobbler, any ideas?

And I do plan on doing a Blue & Grey version.

Robert

All you need to do with the No somoking signs is to cover them with an Transparency channel, Good job on the coaches, even managed to retain the shading without using the grey model :)

Using TGAtool you can send the alpha channel to the editor and then completely cover that with 0,0,0 black, the signs will disappear.

Reskin pack will be up tonight (My time)

How do I cover them Tim?

I'm not good with textures at the best of times, I was lucky with the results so far but alpha's may be my weak point :-? :(

The corridor side windows should be square.

Otherwise very nice.

Ok to cover the no smoking signs all you need to do is find the texture called "NoSmoking" and import the main image and the alpha into the photosuite of your choice and have one image black and the other white then export as an alpha and hey presto it should work, any problems you are more than welcome to give me a yell on msn if you cant get it to work :)

One further point to note is that the corridor side window at the right hand end is closer to the door than the window at the left hand end.

Use a shape viewer screenshot of my model as a plan.
It was done using measurements take from the real thing.

Looks very good, :D

One question though about the EH2 Mk.3's though, I know the Mk.1's and Mk.2's have a brake light at the back of the guards carriage but upon looking further on the internet, I found the following

BFO · CO · FO · RFM · SLE · SLED · SLEP · TSO · TSOB as the Mk.3 coaching stock.

Are there any plans to release the remaining ones to complete the Mk.3 set?

Is this the caledonian set formation???

I think in BR/Inter City era's, correct me if I'm wrong, it was just a straight rake of SLEP/SLE with a BG one end and MK2F FO's on the other with a MK1 or MK3 Buffet.

I think reproducing a caledonian set would require a lot of work on the Mk2 & Mk3 sets...

I wont be doing anymore reskins of the set, these were just a one of for the community and Highland Mainline CD.

But once the HM CD is out, I MAY do the rest, but dont be sure of it

Files will be uploaded shortly. :)
