Purchasing WCML

Post by willywow16 »

Hi,

I was just wondering with the release of WCML tomorrow will there be anysite's where I will be able to buy it, and download the route from there site instead of waiting for it to arrive? or will any shop's be selling it?

Thanks Will

Hi Will, In short no. It is available from the CD ordering section Here or the EB ordering Site Or Games and Amazon on line, but as a download not yet awile. In a couple of months EB may do what the have started doing and split the route and stock so you can download them .

Regards

Amazon are telling lies about it.
Got a mail on Thursday telling me that EB had changed the release date and that I would not have the CD until at least Saturday (whatever happened to pre-shipping), and now this is not going to happen either as although the 21st IS still the release date set by EB (no change there in the last 3 days that I seen anyway), it was not shipped today.

The slimey gits did the same thing with "the complete factory recrods graphic album", which went from "it'll be there on Friday" to "you'll get it before xmas" overnight. That one got cancelled, I'd rather pay 2x as much elsewhere as let them get away with that....nose cut off to spite face, but I care not a jot.

What's winding me up is that they out and out lied, stating EB had caused this by a last minute release date change.

Could anyone tell me how long their site has shown 21st sept for, so I can send a sweary email to amazon, unless of course EB really DID change the date this Thursday.

Actually, would what they have said to me in email not constitute libel against EB...."we aren't conning you it's that nasty EB lot messing US around" essentially?

If they don't have it in the post today, I'm cancelling and buying it here, I only went to scamazon to get it earlier, typical!.

EDIT:

on the offchance, I took a look at my amazon account.....NOVEMBER[Moderator Comment: dkightley - Inappropriate language removed. Read the forum rules, please.]
If I have a mail when I get home blaming EB, I will forward it to them so they can sue the scamming slime.

Off to the CD ordering page then.......

I've never had a problem with Amazon, EB on the other hand I'm not too keen on as I prefer where possible to use UKTS.
If it were possible to get the "activity pack, 57 etc" from here, I would have come here.[Moderator Comment: dkightley - Inappropriate language removed. Including such language in a quote is treated as seriously. ]

I pre-ordered West Coast Express from Play.com some weeks ago, and previous purchases have generally arrived on release day. However my copy has only been posted today (Sat 22/9) according to the site, perhaps there was a delay getting copies distributed to suppliers?

Maybe EB told Amazon of the release date at the last minute, amazon hasn't got time to log onto EB, and check the latest news on the EB website. Just think how many product's they have they can't check all the release dates.

Yup,

I got the same message from amazon today as well. Maybe I am just an impatient over-eager git ( ) but I diverted my order to UKTS today because unlike amazon. Matt and the boys don't lie about release dates and I feel down at the moment because I was looking forward to getting the route today as well but nothing came through the door :(. Also I want to tuck in and get my 1980's series of activities up and complete using the EH2 pack as well as a few other trains from the 1980's :D. I have all the trains I need to get started but no route to make the activities on.

Not been on here a while.

I ordered WCML on Friday morning at around 9.30am, it arrived this morning at 10am.

I also got an email from EB about the Class 57 bonus pack. I downloaded that this afternoon. Only available if you ordered WCML on or before 21/09/07 directly from the EB website.

Hi Adam,

Is that Class 57 in Intercity livery or unbranded Virgin livery like the Voyager in ECE2 was?

That might explain the first delay.

But 4th of November?

BTW, Koopertrooper, did they blame the November delay on EB as well?

( I cancelled too quick to get an email about it you see)

Hi again,

Yes they were surely pointing the finger at EB when it was them that messed the dates up! :o. The only reason I could think of as to why they are doing this is because they could be talking out the location of where the sun does not shine . Or they could be selling copies from the far east hence the delay. Other than my assuption - that would only be the valid excuse they could use .
