Errors on EH2 activities?
HIya,
I have installed all the EH2 stock, well as far I know of anyhow, and wanted to try the activities, I have downloaded the latest ones and unpacked them and installed to the Glasgow/Carslile route, all seems ok.
When i run the activities, after a short while my MSTS throws a error saying cant add certain objects to world? the objects it's trying to add are the new EH2 coaches, namely Mk1s and Mk 2s, getting errors like this, "Cant add tc_eh2mk2f_fo" etc, it will do this for a whole consist.
When i goto explore activity though the consists are there, and they run fine in explore mode?
Am i missing something silly here?
Really wanna give these activities a whirl this evening...
Any help Appreciated.

Re: Errors on EH2 activities?
I'm also having a problem with one of the loco's, when I try to run the Glasgow - Carstairs service, I can't get the 85 to reverse all it wants to do is go forward.
I've tried pressing s and get reverse message and on driving it promptly goes forwards, tried w which I know is forward and the same it goes forward.
I have now tried a class 86 and cl 83 which on the empty stock activity both work in reverse.
I'm now inclined to think it's the siding that is the problem, as it slopes away to wards the buffers, the loco doesn't seem to get enough power to get up the slope so it slips backwards into the buffers.
Any advice will be of some help,I've run the Carlisle - Glasgow service with no problems and all the AI traffic seems o.k, there are no error messages regarding the coaches but the blue 87 seems to have no numbers.

I am also having this issue on the Glasgow-Carstairs Act.michaelhendle wrote:I'm also having a problem with one of the loco's, when I try to run the Glasgow - Carstairs service, I can't get the 85 to reverse all it wants to do is go forward.
Otherwise excellent activities, particularly the thrash up from Carlisle

I might be teaching Grandma to suck eggs here, but if it is the gradient that is causing the concern, have you tried the sander on the loco? Keep the X key depressed whilst you are trying to move away - this may give you that extra bit of adhesion you need to pull awaymichaelhendle wrote: I'm now inclined to think it's the siding that is the problem, as it slopes away to wards the buffers, the loco doesn't seem to get enough power to get up the slope so it slips backwards into the buffers.

The Mk 2Fs were not included in the original EH2 uploads but were made available a couple of days later seperately:
Without it the activities will fail, as Niall posted at the time - have you downloaded and installed this?

Hi Richard,
I've just tried it again with the sander on before reversing and holding it down but still the loco only goes forward to wards the buffer stop.

Re: Errors on EH2 activities?
Michael, your problem is just bizarre and alas can't help you. Have just run it yet again and not a problem. I have never needed to use the sander either. In fact as it was the first act I did I must have run it 40 or 50 times now and success every time. I hope someone can help you.
Max, apart from making sure that last file is installed, have you considered lowering your settings? These models are very taxing on resources and my old computer - which normally runs MSTS lovely - I find I have to lower the settings s fair bit for EH2 acts to work.

I have just re installed all the EH2 add ons, including the updatated ones,
But still no joy, same errors, on the castairs activity it says cant find 83012 and stock, but its all installed! argghh, i can run the consist it says are missing on a explore route so they work.
Ill try the idea of dropping the settings, keep u posted.
Cheers for the advice.

I got the rolling forward on the Class 85 as well, pressing Z to reset the engine fixed the problem.
