New KRS screenshots :) [16/08/2007]

The Rail Simulator forum was very busy leading up to the UK release on October 12th 2007, this is a read-only copy of those discussions for historic and review purposes.

New KRS screenshots :) [16/08/2007]

Post by jivebunny »

At least I think they're new! Haven't seen any of these before so sorry if they've been posted! Some absolutely cracking shots, nice to see the 47 appearing in BR Blue as well. And Mk1 stock of course :)

There are some international shots as well but the selection below is naturally biased towards the UK

All from here - http://www.suomi.ea.com/games/11182/screenshots/

Finally some antialiasing...

Not sure about exhaust streaks but there's certainly a bit of aerodynamic muck on the cab

Hopefully people will cut Kuju a bit of slack and let them get on with finishing this beauty of a simulator off..

The Break van says LMS on it and the HST with the deltic and 47 has 3 carriages

It says it has a release date of 4/10/2007 which looks like a October release

I was wondering about that actually (and the interesting shadows on the smokebox door) - it could be a route editor-only sign, a reference post of sorts. Both MSTS and TRS have these so I wouldn't be surprised if KRS had something similar which just disappeared when you switch to driving mode.

Certainly doesn't look like it's meant to be part of the route!

There's always one... I'm pretty sure LMS brake vans survived into BR days, and you can add extra carriages to a train it's not a static object. It's pretty obvious they're just plonked there for the screenshot.

Very nice, but I still think its very 'bright' and 'saturated'....also, i've not seen a cloud in any pic?

Good to see somthing else new!
However, yes, there are moans...
7F cab dosn't really seem to be as well done as the Black 5, but it may not even be finished...
The "Outside" view of the cab looks a simply like a low quality texture...
Various other little things which seem a tad naff to me, but on the whole (Would you believe it after my moaning  ) it looks ok, I will still buy it, and look forward to it...
Aaron

BTW - Notice this is a EA website, the the release date is 4.10.07 8)
