ukfs website

Tim Booth created an absolutely stunning track system for MSTS called UKFineScale (aka UKFS). Accurate track profiles, hyper detailed track pieces and points etc make for stunning routes, before you even start thinking about scenery!

ukfs website

Post by clay001 »

Hello,

I recently tried to visit the ukfs website from the link given here to find out more info but the site seems down, will it return or should I just garner info from ukts?. Any news/views would be great.

Clay.

Just noticed the same thing. I need to install some updates to UKFS using the track manager and the updates are rejected by the remote server. Let's hope trainsimfiles returns!

That's a relief...sort of!, at least it's not some thing I'm doing wrong.

I wanted to install UKFineScale, but with the site being down I cannot. Are the files available somewhere else?

Here...

But you still need to get hold of the textures which I think are only held on Tim's site.

Try this link on Otto's site for the textures - looks like it only contains the concrete sleeper version:

As I have posted elsewhere, I have all four texture sets downloaded, but I don't know if it is OK to re-distribute them as I don't have any Readme files with them.

My railway photos are now on Google + - links to the albums are in this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=149558

Lots of steam and early diesels from 1959 to 1963.

Thanks for the tip, I was hoping to lay wooden sleepers/brown ballast, but I could use concrete sleepers as I'm hoping to build a heritage line (which uses them) and it would be nice to get started.
Thanks again.

You could always start with this texture set, get all the track laid, then change the textures when the site comes back online.
