Someone order a dockyard?

Post by ahardy »

Hi all.

Started another route today based around an internal user system in a dockyard settin. Quite simillar to those at Chatham and such.

Here are some shots after around 2 hours work:

Again this route will be released on the Middleton Railway Donationware CD. Work is in hand getting some new locomotives built for this.

Absolutely brilliant! A dockyard, perfect for me! :D

Which locos are being made for it?

Well I think it is possible to say I have pretty much built a route in a day...

Took the dock tank for a quick spin:

That looks great! Dock tank needs some wagons to shunt though

Is there any cranes for unloading the boats? A steam crane would be good :)

Excellent stuff Andy, I'm very impressed as we could do with just such a route! As has been said, steam cranes would be nice, if you feel like adding some. :D Realy looking forward to this!

That doesn't look like the freeware dock tank - is it one from the BATS LMS CD?

If you can build a route this fast, I think you should honestly consider making a 3rd freeware one! I'd download it.

A nice dockyard crane is available on Train-Sim.com, but it's only available in bright green :-?

how about a ocean liner dock, with platform for boat trains, like in a weymouth, with the 1366 class panniers?

The 1361's were also dock tanks.

I think there's a B4 from Southampton also available as freeware.

Lots of dock locos, but no routes.

Wookey had a good one a while ago, but it never got released.
