Mid East UK 1.4.5 GREAT. But have I dropped a clanger ?

Hello Everybody, me again.

A few weeks ago I downloaded from UKTS, Mid East Steam Era V2, also downloaded some activities such as Peterborough Semi Fast, Up Scotsman, Down Scotsman and 1948 loco Exchanges Etc.

I have now purchased Mid East UK 1.4.5 Although the version number was not mentioned in the List as I thought it would be the same as above and could run said activities with its own rolling stock, which I have downloaded Anyway, with a lot of help.

Do I now have to run two different routes which both loadup as UK1 to get benefit of all the the Activities? Any help please

P.S Anybody tell me If I need MSTS Bin Patch and where to get it from, have seen it refered to regarding Activities

Have re checked cd ordering and number is mentioned but it did'nt register in my Brain (ho.ho) as a version number.

As far as I know the Bin patch just about helps anyone play MSTS

Also AFAIK there is no difference in the TDB of the original MidEast and the steam version.

As far as I remember when I loaded Mid-East Steam it said if you wanted to keep Mid-East V1.4 you should change the route folder name to TC_UK1 this now gives you Mid-East V1.4 and Mid-East V2 steam.

Did manage to put Peterborough semi fast into 1.4 Ran great but minus the A1 traffic

Hello, me again.

Now have the two seperate routes as suggested by Pete above.

however I seem to have created another problem for myself with the Peterborough semi - fast activity. Loads up fine, Starts up fine, runs fine with all the great scenery. A1 traffic etc.

Run out to Finsbury Park, leave on time, runs OK until New Barnet station.

As soon as I go through New Barnet station programme freezes.

Control, Alt, Delete does nothing, and only alternative is to switch of computer and start again.

Any help please

This is usually a symptom of too much data to load as you approach the next tile. It could be too much AI or static consists, or to much detailed scenery. The first thing to always try is turning down your settings a bit.

I'd start by putting sounds to medium (wav files are large and take time to load), move your best graphics/best performance slider one or two notches towards best performance and turn everything else down one notch.

This may help. If it doesnt come back, tell us what you did, and we'll have another think.

Hello, me again, if there's anybody out their this time of the morning.
Just finished work.

tried above but no joy. programme keeps pausing as though it is looking for something, ( had before but usually get sms, wag or eng error report ). Have checked all with route riter. route and stock, activity etc. no problems found. Also when starting through Trainstore loads straight away without any error reports. As above keeps pausing until it eventually pauses and wont do anything else.

tried route at low speed as curiousity and managed to get alot, lot further but eventually crashed wih following message:-

BATS_Common_Sound\BATS_Gresley_Express\SOUND\A3_4472eng.sms

& the following:- uk_SWB_unfit

Cannot find Bats sound or UK_SWB_UNFIT on UKTS or BATS Site.

Any help appreciated please.
