Adding DEM to non-DEM route

The MSTS 1 Route Editor can be a beast to use, but it's capable of some amazing results, here you can talk with the wizards that are building some of the fantastic routes available and learn how to make your own.

Adding DEM to non-DEM route

Post by ghills »

I have created a route that's about 40 miles long. I may yet extend it and wondered if it is possible to use DEM terrain for the extension only?

Thanks for any replies.

It can be done, however, make sure you do not overlap into an area that already has tracks. Makes a big mess.

I added to my NCR route with dem data and demex.

See the sticky at the top of this forum!!

If you keep a backup, then you can even dem fearlessly... paste your old tiles over the demed ones for those you want to return to original terrain.... then enjoy smoothing out the cliffs at the tile boundaries!
