Train Moving Problem

Post by simcom »

Hi

I have recently entered the world of MSTS addons and up until this point have had no problems with the additional trains/routes/activities etc. that I have installed.

However, I have a rather bizarre problem with one of the addon trains. It worked fine until I installed an activity (which I subsequently removed). The simulation still loads up fine when this train is selected, however the train doesn't move. All other commands seem to respond (headlights etc. all work) and I can release brakes/increase throttle, but the train doesn't go anywhere! All other trains I have work fine in the same scenario.

I have tried reinstalling the train, and even the route but still to no avail. The train in question is the Desiro 450.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks for your time!

One update, I have noticed I get the same problem with the 375 Electrostar (same cab) however resinstalling the cab files doesn't work. I can't think what it could be, as it worked fine before.

I've attached a screenshot showing the problem!

Are you running the latest MSTS Bin Patch as there have been some problems getting the train moving with that.

Ah, yes indeed. I will uninstall it and try without, and let you know!

Many thanks

Thank you once again Shaun - I've just tried it and it works fine.

Forgot I'd added that at the same time as the activity.

Cheers
