Hi Morgan, When you say a red cross pops up in a box , just what does it say in the box?

OK - what flavour of Vista ? I have Vista Enterprise here so I can give that a whirl in the morning. Are you running one of the domestic versions of Vista ?

Kindest regards

It runs fine for me on Ultimate. Are you running it as an administrator as that caused me problems initially?

This is a bit of a long shot, but cancel the Autorun, then go to Computer, right click on your CD drive and select either Open or Explore. Then right click on "Autorun.exe" (The one with a CD icon if you've got extensions hidden) and select "Run as Administrator".

Autorun depends on auto-insert notification, which should be off if you don't want you PC peeing cpu cycles and board interrupts up the nearest wall polling the drives constantly

I can't say that it's ever caused me any problems having it on with my 3 DVD drives.
