Thats awesome, are they all in steam as well? Or are they being dragged? Still looks great though!

The last 2 or 3 engines seem not to be in steam.

I think going off the video they were having a "who has the loudest whistle?" competition. Looks like they all had fun.

They were all most definately in steam, but with a line speed of 25 it is obvious they couldn't all be working hard at the same time. I very nearly didnt bother hanging around to take that pic as the time was getting on, they didn't pass on the return run till 19:15 and light was fading quickly.I think it was well worth staying to see it in the end, never seen anything like it :D

Here is the pic again anyway:

The SVR should try something like that :o :D They sound lovely, whistling away.

IMO, however, it's not a GWR cavalcade without 4953

Just wondering, is this not one of the largest galas for a heritage railway without a mainline connection???

I mean, the SVR and WSR both pull off big galas on this sort of scale....but most of the visiting locomotives for those arrive by main line.....while all the the 6880 vistors were by road.....a great achievement when you think about it :)

that would be good at the SVR, but would be restricted or have a complex uncoupling and recoupling by going over Victora Bridge
