1024*1024 Textures

Post by karlrestall »

Hi all,

I know that 1024*1024 textures are a pain to do in TSM but I have done it once but cannot replicate it :x. Can someone please give me a step by step method of successfully doing it. Ihave tried a 512 texture, mapping the shape with that texture and then changin the size in Tgatool2 but no joy.

Regards

I disagree. After a few hours of making the air blue I have figured out how to do 1024*1024 textures on TSM models in Tgatool2.

1) Make a 512*512 template
2)Open up the 512*512 template in your editing software and stretch it to 1024*1024 then go to file, save as, and save it to a different location than the 512*512 template.
3)Export your model using the 512*512 texture
4)Open Tgatool2 and go to file and load and select your 1024*1024 texture.
5)Edit the 1024*1024 texture if you wish.
6)Once you have edited the texture go back to Tgatool2 and go to the export menu, click on 'Ace (Alpha) Not DXT. This over writes the 512*512 texture.
