Martin,

Your pics are very good, the route looks excellent…… nice to see passengers on the platform, after seeing all those empty stations on other routes, makes one wonder why they run trains…. !!!!!

Those last shots at Morfa Mawddach look excellent.
This teasing is getting difficult to bear! A superb looking route with some great looking stock.

Yes Martin, I have to admit that seeing some of these new routes, Cambrian and Looe for example does give me the itch to have a go, but and there is always a but, I am very involved with digital photography and Photoshop now, and that seems to have taken a large chunk of my time, I am 77 years old, so is it wise to take on a big project…. (G) and I have forgotten everything I knew about Route Editor, I would have to start learning all over again.

If I do decide to start again, you will be the first to know.

Cheers

hi all,
sorry to be a little off topic, when did Barmouth Junction Become Morfa Mawddach then?, I was always used to be under the impression that it was when the dolgellau line closed.

Barmouth Junction became Morfa Mawddach in 1960, the same time that Dolgelley became Dolgellau. When we started Cambrian 2, we set the date as early 1960s, hence Morfa Mawddach. In the 3 years that have passed, we've actually not stuck to this too strictly, so various parts of the route are set anywhere between 1950 and 1965.

Thanks Pat for the kind words. It was of course your Skipton route that tempted me to try out the Route Editor for myself, not that I've forgotten how to use the Activity Editor - there are over 50 activities with Cambrian 2 and that's just for starters.

 ....so when you guys have dotted the t's and crossed the i's on this one I suppose you'll dash straight into the Somerset & Dorset?

After all a quality route needs quality builders! :D

Will this be a US release intitially? At $2 to the £ US routes are good value right now.
