Chris

That really does bring back the memories - even though Tinsley reminds me more of Rotherwood in the route especially pic 4. Great Shots.

Cheers

Yes it is Woodhead at the western end of a representation of Tinsley Yard.

To do Tinsley as it was would have caused woodhead to be the first route to cause a PC Meltdown)

Chris - Just noticed that the pants :o :o disappear on the EM1s

Cheers

Rotherwood Sidings was locally known for producing 'old school' railstaff one driver went on to be ER Steam Inspector and rode the footplate on most steam workings within the region. One of the shunters made it all the way up the ladder to the rank of DSM (Duty Station Manager) at Sheffield until his retirement last November. He actually performed a double HST powercar swap in the station a couple of years back in 23 minutes, and for the past few years was the only qualified mainline shunter in Sheffield. He used to say shunting ain't what it used to be having been the recipient of the old flush out many times. (while joing the Leeds portion to the Newcastle Poole in the 70's the number of times the loo got flushed in the station whilst the shunter was hooking up was unbelievable  )
