Its looking great so far! You might like to add a steam manifold on top of the backhead, basically a junction where steam is supplied to the blower, injector valves, pressure gauge etc. I can try to find a picture of one and email it over if you like?

A WORK IN PROGRESS.
Continuing the cab fitting theme I present a “Sight Feed Lubricator”, this is of the single glass type seen on many narrow gauge and industrial engines. Still to be added to the model are the lubricator drain valve & pipe, plus the feed regulator valve.
All of this is purely for cosmetic purposes in MSTS as the operator has no influence over lubrication. But it is something else for Tom to add to his cab!

There may be inconsistencies with this model as I have done it entirely from memory.

Thanks alot for that, due to the file type i'll probably have a bash at modelling it myself, but yours will come in very handy for reference purposes.

As for my Uni work, i'd be fine if it were exams, but it's all practical work. Drawing and animating 200 frames in 2 weeks is no fun task ):

Love the cabview. Stuffing gland on the regulator a nice touch. Would be good to see a cab model at some point with only one gauge glass and a tri . on the other side. As the gauge glass never fails in MSTS it would make a nice change.

GWR sight feed lubricators can be an absolute nightmare to fill when warm or if the loco is in steam, it stems from the fact that the shut of valve on the top of the lubricator does not work particularly well. It is rather an odd design that allows the driver to choose from one of two condensing coils.
The best method that I found (if you had two re-fill the thing in steam) would be to shut off the coils at the top of the steam fountain and to leave the drain on the bottom of the lubricator cracked open slightly, so that any pressure build up in the lubricator would be present to the eye.
I know many drivers that would need to re-fill the lubricator during the day because they had not taken care to fill it to capacity in the morning.

The worst ever that I have experienced is a dome mounted lubricator feeding the regulator on GWR 1363. This was an awful piece of kit that would explode in oil and steam at the slightest provocation!!!

Took about 15 minutes to make that, so its not a long job! Any other bits you need give me a shout.

Cheers, i'll probably take you up on that some time.

Been fiddling with the lighting further, i really despise how the cab looks right now in relation to lighting and shadows so i've been messing around with different render environments, lighting setups and such.

Below is something i achieved after about 10 minutes of fiddling, i may tweak it slightly to suit the lighting standards of a cab interior.

Either way, i'll most likely be dropping the current lighting setup for something like this as there are too many lights in the current scene and it looks messy.
