Liveries for ECE 3 are...
In an email I recently recieved from EuropeanBahn regarding my preorder for ECE 3, the 158 is in what appears to be regional railways style livery, while the 321 looks to be in the West Yorkshire Red and Maroon livery.

Before we go any further, please take this as a warning folks - it is becoming tedious having to continually lock EB-related threads. However, if the same hackneyed old criticisms that we've seen so often in the past re-surface in this thread, or if the original point of this thread is hi-jacked in the interests of other agendas, I will lock it without hesitation.
If all you wish to say is that you're not a fan of EB, might I respectfully suggest you can it? Other members are, so let them post their views, or if you do have a different opinion, make sure it's a constructive one, rather than a destructive one.

Hmm, i wonder if EuropeanBahn will have two different liveries of the class 158 and 321 units, like with GNER and BR Intercity liveries on the class 225. Maybe the announced in screenshots British Rail Regional Railways livery and a privatised livery, hopefully not the Northern livery though. Any other opinions?

The 158 looks good, the 321 looks a bit odd. Bogies don't suit it either. MTs 321 is better.

Funny how peoples opinions are completely different.desiro5 wrote:The 158 just looks............. wrong.
The 321 is ok.
I think the 158 looks pretty good in that shot, but the 321 looks wrong at the front somehow. I think its a bit too square and not slanted.
But the 158 looks to be reasonable on the shots seen so far.
The 321 does look bit wrong at the front, didn't notice that.buffy500 wrote:Funny how peoples opinions are completely different.desiro5 wrote:The 158 just looks............. wrong.

But there just seems to be something wrong with that 158.

Constructively speaking...
The 321 cab is too flat (vertical), it needs that slight, sloping angle on the front and maybe thicker frames around the window. The other other thing I would change is the windows in the first seating bays after the cab.
I hope they can alter the model for WCML as a Silverlink 321 would be great for route.
On the other hand, I don't have any problems with the 158, like Buffy, I think it looks reasonable.
