Electrified Rail

Post by sreeju444 »

I am trying to make a route of 450 kms. In this route, 102 kms are electrified. And the remaining 348 kms are non-electrified. Can we make the electrified rail as a part of our route?

You might try this:

http://steam4me.railpage.org.au/trainsi ... ewire.html

Using dynamic track on the non-electrified part of your route would be a problem. "HIDEWIRE will not hide the wire over DYNAMIC TRACK."

But then you might try one extra trick. You could convert the dynamic track to a static shape using the "default.profile" in DynaTrax, then see if HideWire works with that.

You can change dynamic track to Detail Level 2 in the RE, but I kind of doubt that it would work, since the TDB for the dynamic track would still exist in the route's local tsection.dat. But it would be a very easy trial. If it doesn't work, it's just as easy to unconvert it.

It's probably best just to stay with no dynamic track on the non-electrified tracks if you use HideWire...
