Haha, I only think 3 of the loco's are working though.
It's all about the sound!!! :) (Excluding unit's, electric's, kettles and for now 57's, 66's and 67's)

Nah, they were all making noise..... whether that was idling or not I don't know...... :o

its actually quite suprising how many you do need.

i need 10 to lift a 92 wagon tank train out of Mojave on Tehachapi 2 route in msts i dont know if its proto typical the consist was mainly SD70ACes and MACs on 92 ACF whale Bellys.

To me it sounds like the front 2 and the last loco before the wagons are working... hence the loud noise, lol

Crikey! 137 wagons I count? Wouldn't like to be sat at a level (of course I should say Railroad) crossing when that goes past.

Which is one of the reasons they take a chance on getting across and also why "Operation Lifesaver" is promoted by all the American railroad companies.

Ya missed 10 theres 147 i watched and counted twice and got 147 twice.

It'd be a life waiting at a crossing on a 10mph stretch of track.
