FS2004 Graphics problem

Post by tomtrain »

Hi

For Christmas, I got a 512MB GeForce 7600 GS graphics card, so I cold run FSX to a decent standard. However, I now find that when I start FS2004 (I still use it more than FSX because even with the new graphics card, I still only get 4fps on the ground and 10fps in the air in FSX), strange, irregular shapes keep on popping up at random intervals and then disappearing. After a short while, my computer screen goes blank, and the sound switches off (although sometimes it keeps going), and I have to restart my computer.

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue, or has anyone had similar problems?

Thanks in advance

Tom

(p.s. I'm running on a 2.66GHz pentium 4, 1024MB of RAM, and a 512MB graphics card)

Is your PC PSU up to the job? Some of these bigger and better grafix cards require plenty of electrickery to run properly. Maybe that you'll need a more powerful PSU.
