3d studio Max building a 311 emu

Post by gitface »

Does anyone know the precedure for converting a 3d model in studio max into trainsim as I have built a model of 311 emu which I want to convert, any advice would be useful. I have usually used tsm up to now to export so this is a first time using 3d max for exporting.

You'll need to read the techdocs included in the MSTS installation.

You can use the included converter, but it's a lot better and cleaner to export via Gmax. There's plenty of tutorials on the whole workflow out there.

You could export your model from Max as a 3DS object and import into Gmax, texture the model and export through the Gmax trainsim exporter.
