Burton-Derby

Post by birdy231 »

I have downloaded the route and it works i have to say it is brilliant with all the different tracks, quarries and colleries :P . Well done Alan Salmon I give you a big pat on the back :P . But the route map is a bit hard to read :( . I was wondering weather there is or will be a map that is a bit easier to read.

Hi Birdy

Glad you like the route, yes the map is a bit hard to read, but thats what you get fitting it on an A4 sheet  You are most welcome to upload a later version, which would I hope include the version 2 upgrade.

Hi Birdy,

I am looking to upload version 2 of Burton - Derby as a route only, in the next week. You will find that Bigant made some considerable extentions to the trackwork.

Hi Birdy,

yes. I am testing the upload and download zips at the moment, so far so good. I want to run another demanding activity on it first. I hope to upload it onto UKTS on Tuesday, then it is up to UKTS to add it to the new file listings

cheers

I have a few questions.
Is it the same but with more track mileage?
Have you done a route map?
Will it over right the first one?
I am still going to continue with the map for the first version.

The extension map is file ID 14970 in the utilities section.

Same route with more track and stations, will over-write the old route, but some sections remain the same, eg new sections have been added.

Hi there,

When you unzip the files, the route name will be BD2_Burton-Derby.

To keep the route name the same either rename the new route as BD1 and delete the old one

or

overwrite the route files in the BD1 Folder with the routefiles out of the BD2 folder, they both use the same Global folder. Then delete the BD2 Route folder afterwards.

make sure you run it through Route Riter before use

Go and have a look in the File Download area.

I don't know if its available...I'd have to go and have a look myself to find out!

Burton-Derby 2

Is this latest download the same as the excellent Burton-Derby CD version 2? Or are there any new features on it? :-?

Hi there,

if you have the current version on disc, you don't need to download anything.

It is the same one, NO updates. No activities, no stock

just the route, nothing else.
