I bet within 5 year it would of been sold on.
The wheels are too small & from what I can gather its too wide for the route

Before you make wild suggestions like that how about reading the press release. The loco is not owned by the FR it is owned by a group of chinese rail enthusiasts who just happen to be FR vollunteers. All the FR has done is provide space for the loco to be stored until a proper restoration base can be found on the FR or elsewhere no where has it been suggested that it will run on the FR or the WHR.RobertM wrote:I bet within 5 year it would of been sold on.![]()

Finally the loco is only just outside the FR loading gauge the cab being to wide , if it were the same width as many other C2's it would fit the FR also wheel size is not the only factor determines how fast a loco can go. Linda and Blanche have the same size wheels yet Blanche will happily do 20mph on 8 cars whereas linda gives up at about 18.
If you want real info on this loco look at thier website not the FR or WHR egroups.
Hope i've not offended.

Im looking forward to seeing your model now Bazza, defintly a good candidate for ((BazzaMotion)) dont forget the lobster pot on the chimney
This one was coal fired im not aware of any oil fired ones but its possible something like 3000 built worldwide and a fine example of how a steam loco should be.

That's a clip of the same class hauling logs. There are several clips, look in the "Related menu" to the right - there are six clips, also a few other clips worth watching, too.
Cheers Bazza
PS Thanks for the info RF, I'll check that out.
