Yay! Love those, they're all ickle. ^^ Just don't paint it blue or anything, it should look worn, part of it's character.

I could imagine one of those plying along some overgrown branch...

I bet within 5 year it would of been sold on.

The wheels are too small & from what I can gather its too wide for the route :-?
Cheers, Robert :)

Before you make wild suggestions like that how about reading the press release. The loco is not owned by the FR it is owned by a group of chinese rail enthusiasts who just happen to be FR vollunteers. All the FR has done is provide space for the loco to be stored until a proper restoration base can be found on the FR or elsewhere no where has it been suggested that it will run on the FR or the WHR.
Finally the loco is only just outside the FR loading gauge the cab being to wide , if it were the same width as many other C2's it would fit the FR also wheel size is not the only factor determines how fast a loco can go. Linda and Blanche have the same size wheels yet Blanche will happily do 20mph on 8 cars whereas linda gives up at about 18.

If you want real info on this loco look at thier website not the FR or WHR egroups.
Hope i've not offended.

Count me in, I'd love to model this loco. I have four or six youtube vids of the same class in action. The loco would have to be textured in her work worn guise, there are enough pretty shiney wee beasties about.

Goth-Grunge' is so 'now'.

I viewed the vid clip, and with the other clips I've seen the loco is a sitter for ((BazzaMotion)) (((:x))) The wee dump wagons shouldn't be a problem, either.

Imagine the fun tuning the physics....

Was it oil or coal fired?

I think the loco and wagons should be scaled up for 3ft Xtrack = 2.5ft gauge?

I'm certain I have a colour pic of the European original in one of my railway books.

That will be awfully unstable if regauged, they don't exactly ride well of 2ft 6in, and she will be way too light footed at only 4tons an axle, even more so than Blanche I think.

Im looking forward to seeing your model now Bazza, defintly a good candidate for ((BazzaMotion)) dont forget the lobster pot on the chimney :D This one was coal fired im not aware of any oil fired ones but its possible something like 3000 built worldwide and a fine example of how a steam loco should be.

I found some pics on the net (locos for sale) and looks like the drivers were solid, hurray, no spokes, more polys to spare, specially with four driver sets.

They appear 0-8-0, can't see any leading/trailing bogies.

data sheet and side drawing here http://priderock.co.uk/c2project/technical.html
The driving wheels have 2 small oval holes in them i think.

That's a clip of the same class hauling logs. There are several clips, look in the "Related menu" to the right - there are six clips, also a few other clips worth watching, too.

Cheers Bazza

PS Thanks for the info RF, I'll check that out.
