Thank you!

Just wanted to say how marvelous MSTSBin is. It's rekindled my interest in this game significantly.

Plus, it's really useful. Yesterday I was driving a tram (Line 51's tenth activity?) anyway, you have to follow close behind the tram ahead - no signal separation - without hitting.

Needless to say, the cat jumped on my lap and I bounced off the rear of the AI train.

Luckily, the coupler engaged - so using MSTS Bin I was able to take control of the AI Train and finish the activity with the trains merged. (Which they would do in real life to maintain section integrity. Grr)

So - thanks to all who have contributed to this app so far!

You know, I think you have a point there: I've been so caught up in finding out how to get the most out of MSTSBin, I hadn't stopped to say thanks either.

Thankyou, George, for your fantastic work!

Don't worry about thanking George personally, I have done that on behalf of all English speaking users of his patches and not just in words ! :D

Take care, O t t o.

I agree - I'm creating an activity that uses front coupling and run-around's, which certainly would have been difficult using MSTS! The reverse-cab feature is also useful in such an activity as it means it can be run in both directions without having to rely on external views.

...and lets not forget working waiting points which give greater control over AI trains.
Activities are what makes MSTS run

Eeeuwww, the mind boggles!!!!! :D

Joking aside, I would add my thanks too - it has greatly enhanced the scope of the game and is a truly great achievement.

I have been thinking of buying the Linie 51 Tram route. Do you reckon it is worth it (it seems it runs well with MSTSbin)

Thank you George, your efforts are appreciated and I wish you much success in the future.

Ottodad, in future I and other members of the English speaking Train sim community would rather we make our own thanks to George re his efforts in sorting out MSTS 1. I have received several emails re this subject and a para from one senior member reflects a feeling on both sides of the pond:-

“For sheer effrontery this takes the biscuit and goes a long way in explaining why he is persona non grata in many parts of the US Train-sim”

Mods if you think this is not suitable for inclusion in the forum, then you have the right to remove it and ban me. Please remember that although many members think the sun shines from the appropriate place, many do not, and it is about time this alternative view was expressed again. Know it all’s must be told how other members feel.

I have drawn this entry to the attention of the Mods myself.

[Moderator Comment: ashgray - unacceptable language!] you took Otto's comments completely out of context and humour, and are forgetting the contributions and personal input Otto has had to MSTS and BIN.

It seems people are insecure about Otto's ability and his willingness to share and help others.

If it were not for Otto (in particular) and others help, I and many others would have given up long ago.

"Hang in there Otto, we need you.

cheers

Daniel

Yes. It's very well executed, although the Germlish takes a bit of getting used to. They've even included a 1920's Jazz soundtrack!

John,

I don't have time to read every post that's made on the forum, or I would have replied to your sanctimonious outburst sooner.

Firstly, I presume that George donesn't have a precise command of the English language, and that Otto is better equipped to translate our thanks than we are.

Secondly, in the future, please don't hijack a well-meaning intent to pass thanks to further your petty vendetta against Otto. It's immature and childish, and not what I'd expect from a person of your calibre.

Finally, if you are going to quote 'Senior members' then you should have the grace to name them. What is a senior member anyway? I wasn't there when the badges were handed out, and I think I've been around longer than you.

Both Otto and yourself have made valuable contributions to the MSTS community - why can't you just agree to differ?

I'm not posting this as a moderator, just as a human being.

Regards

Mike

Thank you Mike.. my thoughts exactly... I was going to answer but held back because I was angry and would have used stronger language.
It is thanks to Otto, Mike Simpson, the Conbuilder team, and all the other contributors that this community is still strong and thriving. You may not agree with everything they say but they have given up hundreds of hours of their own 'simming' time to answer queries, questions and problems or just being an intermediary for the benefit of ALL of us... :o
Just be grateful and thankful that such great people are there.. I am
