New Moderators
I'd like to welcome on board THREE new moderators to the team here at UKTS.
ashgray will be supplementing the UK/Euro side of things.
BigPeter and CaptainBazza, both from New Zealand will be helping Mike Wilson (sp762) with the down-under hours particularly in support of our new Australia/New Zealand forums.
I'd like to extend a big welcome and thanks to them for offering to help out and to all the others who made the offer I am extremely grateful and may call on you in the future to see if the offer is still available.
I hope you will make them feel welcome in their new and often challenging role!
Thanks
Matt.

Welcome to you all.
We'll soon have more mods than members
Serious points.
Real names give greater credibility. I knew all but one but he hardly ever posted as a mod or anywhere.
Are all mods currently modding?
Like Alex, when I stopped modding I, unsubscribed.
It's nice to know who's responsible for banning us
It appears very quiet at the moment though and nothing like as exciting as it was a few years ago.
Probably need more mods when KRS appears.
Cheers
John

You're quite correct in the possible need for more mods when KRS hits the streets...which is one of the reasons for Matt expanding the team at this time.
Re who's on the Moderation team, take a look here:

Never gave it a thought as those at the time were .... well I'd better not say.
Matt's faith in giving me the position was something so valuable I'd even now not want to abuse it.
Like Alex, I took it very seriously and it did get to me and when that happened, I unsubscribed.
Wasn't easy as you don't know what's being said behind your back and it's like being the first to leave a party.
However, I firmly believe no one should be privy to private conversations regarding the future of other on this site if they do not 'pull their weight'.
I've an innate sense of fairness if not the ability to hold my tongue but I'd wouldn't change for one moment no matter what the consequences for myself.
As such, being a mod was easy.
However, any idea of misusing the priviledge proved far more difficult.
Cheers

Could just add that it was a very valuable experience, even only for 12 months, introducing me as a young gent to the foibles of a community from another angle, and how people work, as it were. If it's any consolation to Matt, I think he's given me a valuable insight to life and people to use in the future as a now 17 year old lad, which I am genuinely grateful I had the opportunity for.
