MT Great Eastern route upgrade problems
When I try to run the 1.1 and 1.2 upgrade patches, the installer tells me that I don't appear to have the GE route installed. It then closes without giving me the option to browse for the correct route location (ie on my E drive). Setting up dummy GE route folders on my C drive or opening the patch from my E Drive has the same result. MT indicated it might be a fault with the installer but have not come back to me. Can anyone else help?

Is GE in the same place and the same PC as it was installed off the CD ?
Was it installed direct from a CD ?
If theres no registry entry then thats why theres a problem with the upgrades.
The process clearly works, as most people have it installed ok.
Its likely that you have a missing registry entry for one reason or another.

As Dave said the installer looks for registry keys that are created when the CD route installer is run. So if for example the route was installed on another computer and then copied across the registry entries would not exist on the new machine, if they are not found the installer closes automatically.
Moving things around will make absolutely no difference to the operation of the installer at all in this instance.
