wow , some good progress , would love to be able to give it ago myself but havnt got the energy or patiantes that u have or anyone else

you say your gonna try for didcot , will this include the didcot railway center?

either way , this is looking brilliant

Wow Im Impressed! next stop Kings Sutton and then Banbury! I have a few Questions and Suggestions!

1.I dont think The hill behind Is that High up.
2. Will this be a Modern Day route?? I hope So!
3. I would Love to see Banbury in a model! If you need any Help just ask! Banbury is my Local Station you see!

It does look a little bit on the high side on both sides of the line.
Where's the canal?

I took some photos of the flyover, from the canal last summer, but I can't find them! They may be on t'other machine, I'll have a look later on!

I couldn't find one of the flyover, but it's about a train's length to the right of this view taken from the Oxford canal.

Found this via Google...

This is looking Northtowards the flyover, as you can see, it's fairly flat countryside, within a wide river valley.

Thanks for the encouraging words and feedback - much appreciated.

The Cherwell valley all the way up from Oxford is much flatter and wider than as shown (like I say, it's work in progress); unfortunately the DEMEX data I had isn't so smart, so I've got a lot to do in terms of flattening the scenery!

The big and rather tedious project which will keep me occupied is laying the Oxford Canal, since that follows the railway (or the other way round, being historically accurate) pretty much all the way up from Oxford.

I don't think you would need to do all the canal!

It would be good to see it where it is very close and visible, such as at Wolvercote, Aynho and Lower Heyford and where it actually crosses under the railway, such as at Dukes Cut, the three times between Shipton on Cherwell and Enslow, Upper Heyford and just to the north of Bunbury.

The rest of the time the railway isn't really visible from the canal mainly because of thick hedges, woodland or the landscape itself, so no need to model it, out of sight - out of mind!

I'm also looking forward to seeing the OWW, no canals to worry about there, only the Avon at Evesham!

'Dorset Voyager' snakes across to platform 2 at Oxford with a northbound service. A view from the Becket Street footbridge. Much work still to do on roads and local buildings... An Oxford Bus X3 and a random Stagecoach service also visible.

'Dorset Voyager' accelerates away from Oxford. The yellow (without feathers) on the up signal suggests a freight service is about to rumble through. Scenery in West Oxford is looking a bit sparse - though there's not an awful lot to add...

'Dorset Voyager' races north across Roundham level crossing, Kidlington: my own personal trainspot, three minutes' walk away. The Oxford Canal and Roundham Lock lie behind those trees.
