MSTSbin & ECE

Post by clarke »

Found MSTSbin gave good benefits with GE & Dorset, however ECE kept freezing completely between 2nd & 4th stations just after KX. Hence have uninstalled bin. I believe others have had problems running bin & ECE, does anyone have any solutions?

I installed East Coast into a clean MSBin installation and could not get past Finsbury Park without my computer locking up. Frame rates were poor and lots of stuttering. I reduced my display settings down a notch at a time all the way to best performance but still had the problem. I have just installed it into a clean non MSBin installation. I ran an activity from Kings Cross to Peterborough with no problems, ALL sliders to max, good frame rates and little stuttering. I'm confused.

Hi
Could be difference in sound settings.....thats if you tick the box while installing Bin.
Or might be HD defrag........can cause stuttering.
Don't know really, generally Bin improves frame rates.
Cheers

I had a similar problem with bin version 1.61 - I've had problems on a number of routes with this, so have reverted to version 1.60, which seems to run OK.

regards,

Having run without MSBin for a couple of days with no problems I installed MSBin again. Back to the same problem of computer locking up. I uninstalled MSBin and all was well. All my other routes are significantly improved with MSBin. The joys of MSTS

I don't seem to have a problem with my other routes but ECE seems to crash everytime between Peterborough and Grantham.

I to have had problems running ECE. Mainly PC locking up. The route works fine without the msts bin the odd thing is that my problems seam to be with part 2 of the route.

As for frame rates. I have to agree with others my frame rates have not been as good.

Peter,

I had exactly the same problem as you, locking up just before Finsbury Park. This was with MSTSBin v1.6.1 but reverting to v1.6.0 has solved the problem, with no ill effects on other routes as far as I can tell.

I keep having ECE hang the PC whilst stopped at Huntingdon (Ironically my old station). This is both with, and without MSTSbin.

Very Best Wishes,
Bob.
