Class 310?

Post by 46009 »

I am a USA based UK railfan who would like to try his first model (after some abuse on my last post that I can't do better). What I need is the plans of a locomotive or EMU that someone would like me to build. I would be open to a class 81-87 or an EMU. If you request one, please have some plans for me to use. Class 81-87/EMU plans are a little thin on the ground in Wisconsin.

Classes 86/87 are in planing so no point in realy doing them but im not stoping you,

A good old EMU would be nice like 303 type which could easyily convert to a few other clases and have a good few colours.

Plans are few and far between ive found, Anyone offer plans for these? I might even try a 303 myself. Dan

And when you've done the 303 Dan .... you can do (pretty please) a 'Trans-Pennine' unit as the cabs were both made almost entirely of fibre-glass by Mickleover Transport.

A right 'clever dickey' with a bok in front of me 8)

As for the 310 .... oh how I would like see see one of those

I've noticed there are few models which have a 'wrap-round' front which made the AC Cars railbus difficult to make with an alpha channel.

That was flat and rounded (if you see what I mean?) .... the above are curved from top to bottom as well :-?

I've searched Railway Modeller and Modern Railways and never found plans of 310's or any 60's EMU's for that matter.

Maybe someone knows where they can be found.

The 310's looked very attractive in their original state but the cabs were rebuilt 312 style and spoiled .... in my opinion .... for what that's worth :P

Cheers
