Software Switches

Am wondering if the author of MSTS bin could add another software switch? I'd sure like to have a text log of records from the extended f5 screen. Essentially what /perflog does... all the data.

I was running a steam locomotive last night and thinking how useful it would be to have such a log, to pull out speed, power, force, fire mass, (perhaps more) and to graph them. It would help an author tune the .eng file to match real performance and in my case probably help me manage the locomotive better.

And having the file after the fact allows the user to review and understand more information than he/she can possible take in while running. I think it would be a really useful aid.

The bin mod is a wonderful product, BTW.

That sounds very useful..very good idea..!!!

I'm one of those constant 'tweakers' and would like some reference I could cross check..!!
Like you I really appreciate Bin and let's wait for the other more important changes to be finalised first..
