doors

Post by ajfoxy »

On say an emu or a dmu is there a way you can get the doors to actually open and close instead of just pressing enter and pretending the doors open?

Have a look around the MSTSbin pages here as that was a feature of the latest patch.

Hi
The model will have to be built to enable this feature.

You'll need the "Woodhead" route for these, and they don't need the MSTSbin patch. :D

i may be a bit thick here but what key do you press to get the doors to open i thought it was the `P` button which lowers/raisers the pantograph but this one has door open and pano up

In this case, yes, it is the "P" key, but don't forget, this is a fairly old model and built long before the "bin" patch was thought of.

I am trying to motivate all vendors of commercial MSTS rolling stock add-ons to redesign it with opening doors and individual interiors for locos, passenger cars, including lighting and music, etc, which can now be viewed with F9 - #5 in each one !

I would not mind paying for such direct replacements of what I have got all over again !

Passengers travel at own risk

Post by stevesherratt »

Hi Chris

Imagine how happy i felt when i got those doors working all those years ago and the sparking pantos and the back lit destination board .

Passengers travel at own risk as the doors open on track side too !

So just be selective on viewing side at stations and it works very well .

Very realistic as theres only ghost train 506`s these days they are all cut up !

Cheers :D

Yeah, it's a shame Butterley didn't preserve one!

Hello Steve,

Delerious I would imagine.''

Yes, I found out about the doors on either side some time ago, but didn't mention it this time, didn't want to put people off. :D
I think the passengers would have a nasty shock anyway with the "Mind the Gap"
Well, there's at least one convert in "ajfoxy" who's gone off to download the units. :D

Cheers,

Chris.
