Great Eastern Previews

Not sure if either of these have been mentioned as of yet however I'm sure they'll both be of interest to a lot of people.

Now that I use Megaupload.com for the videos, a 163MB monster WMV at super high res is available for download. The vids show the sheer amount of work that the MT team have put into this route. The only caveat is that you get to see it at approx 800mph. :D

This is one beauty of a route folks!

This route has been in development for over a year now, and I must say it's outstanding!

I assume you mean the one at Marks Tey?

To achieve that, I had a player train parked in the branch platform and used a #2 or #3 external view. After a bit of fiddling round I got it in just the right place inside the footbridge, then I used ctrl+shift+9 to 'unlock' the view from the player train. I then used the mouse to tilt/pan the view in the desired direction.

Patience is required. :)

People on NTL may have difficulties downloading from this site due to the way NTL proxies are configurated on the same IP.

EDIT: Cos I can't! :(

Depends whether someone in your area / on your proxy has previously downloaded it.

Try this

Open windows media player they click on file and click on Open URL

then copy and paste

http://greateastern.mikeb.org.uk/vids/markstey-hi.wmv

or

http://greateastern.mikeb.org.uk/vids/plane-hi.wmv

which ever one you want to watch

then click ok and away you go ?
