89001 - Please help

Post by Timcourt1 »

Hi All,

OK this might not be everyones cup of tea but here is the scoop, 89001 is a unique loco, the like of which had never run on UK metals before, the Loco is going to scrap unless the AC Loco Group can raise enough money for the loco's purchase, Losing this loco to the torch will only mean 89001 goes the same way as Falcon/Kestrel and the like, please don't let this happen.

As a result of the AC groups Plea and BATS Involvement with the group with the forthcoming EH2 pack, and alot of frantic phone calls, I am currently on a "Modelthon" Making 89001 for MSTS, Now this might not be my best but BATS and Making tracks have got together to make a small pack with the loco in Intercity and GNER Liveries as a paid download where ALL Profits go to the ACLG towards the purchase of 89001 so you get something back for your money.

Please support this worthwhile Bid, Details for the models progress are at

http://www.bluearrowtsforums.info/viewtopic.php?t=2066

The groups site is at http://www.aclocogroup.co.uk/

Please help, they only have 18% of the value right now

Try anything, Have a whip round at work for example, any little bit helps.

Great idea tim, that model looks stunning so far, and im sure it will help to gather the required funds to save 89001 from the scrapyard in the sky.

A worthy cause!

Question re: liveries, Any reason why all three liveries carried by 89001 are not being covered? (Either original Intercity or Intercity Swallow being the one missing) - If it's a lack of reference material we may be able to help.

Stunning effort guys, you've made me get my chequebook out to save the old badger. Please everyone do the same, there is nothing quite like this loco.

It's not been mentioned yet, and I don't actually know what they are supplying but EB are also involved in this joint BATS/MT/EB project now.

It's not brilliant and only took a couple of minutes at 1am this morning but feel free to nick the banner and stick it, well, you know ... everywhere

Hi All, I can now confirm:

BATS - Loco
Making Tracks - Rolling Stock pack
EB - Cab/Sounds

This should make it a standalone pack without the need for aliasing to other packs so you get quite a bit for your donation.

There will be more Images as soon as the models are finished, Look out for sim shots in the screenshots forum.

Good news indeed - makes the task ever so slightly easier :)

Now just awaiting the model....out of sheer curiosity, will it come with cabs and sounds?
