Inside out pipes

Post by jefran »

I find the pipe builder plug-in indispensible, I would not have clue where to start on injector pipe runs without it, but I sometimes get pipes that are inside out. The pipes can be made to look right by double siding the object, but it is not the easiest of jobs to get inside and remove all the inside faces.

I have searched the forum, and nobody else has reported the problem, so I've probably done something silly, or overlooked something obvious. Could someone please tell me which of the 2 it is, and what I've done wrong?

I've noticed this myself on occasion. The fix is quite straightforward. You use the invert object command in the tool menu. It looks like an arrow going in a circle. I hope that answers the question. If not I'll try to get a screenshot of the appropriate button.

The invert operations is the way to fix it.
Eventually I'll work out the algorithm that gets it right every time.

I'll re-vamp all my plugins when 6.6/6.7 comes out shortly.

Thank you- that has solved the problem, I inverted the old pipe, deleted the outside (which had been the inside) and re-inverted it (to put the deleted inside back inside)
