Any body had problems using Route Control

Hi
Just wondering if anyone else has been having trouble using Route control? I had nothing but bother with it. Loading the ECML route took 20 minutes and then crashed after displaying wrong textures, the track was all back to wood sleepers no concrete etc etc, more stuttery in places too.
Even a small Route did the same.

Have you tried the route control forums at http://www.howintheworld.com ? I used to use it when I was short of disk space, but now I have 40gb to play with I don't bother, packing and unpacking did take a while (though it did work once unpacked!)

I only tried it on one route (Valley) and that had missing textures when running. Not what I expected with only having one route at a time. In my view a waste of money, I have now uninstalled it. Try routeriter.

I've never had any problems with it at all, got about 8 routes loaded on it. there is an update file available on there website the address is above.

I have limited disc space and have put 24 routes on route control,some routes I could not get going without route control but route control has solved the problem, one or two routes have given me bother but I just removed them, I think it worth it because I would not have all the routes I have with the lack of space on my hard drive, . I do not think route control will work on clickteam instal routes.

Have you thought of using Route-Riter instead? It reduces most routes by over 50 pct and they are all available for use instantly.

Ah someone else from the area on the forum, its good to hear.
Pity there are no local routes for us to drive, I'd Really like to have a drive on the old North Tynside Loop line and prehaps a drive of a Tyne and Wear Metro if someone would build one for me.

Hi Scoop,

Yep, I am from Norham originally (far north to you). I am building the route from Tweedmouth to St.Boswells along the Border and back along the Scottish side via Duns to Reston.

From Reston the route runs down the ECML, back thru Tweedmouth to Chatton where the branch to Seahouses joins it. Also includes the branch from Burnmouth to Eyemouth, I only do the route when I have a bit of time, but on warm days here it is nice to be able to drive through the snow.

All of these lines apart from the mainline disappeared years ago (but a few of us still remember them), I still remember when Tweedmouth had about 60 locos stationed there, all big smelly black ones.
