Thanks guys. It was strange to be testing on the fast lines after so long driving the District metals. It did feel at home though
Doc - I'd appreciate some of your experience... I've left the physics as for the D78 (same wheels, motors and gearing) and only adjusted the weight and drag (overall 10t heavier tare weight for the train as TubePrune notes - i.e. about 1.5t heavier for each car; and slightly less frontal drag). Right now it tops out at 45mph on the non-stop section EB from Acton Town. Is that about right?
I'm psyched about the cab. We'll put in as much detail as MSTS allows (controls/displays). I think I might even be able to put some functionality into the "toblerone"
The train is of course up to Richard's high standards, with a few details to be added or tweaked. I'll also put together a few consists (e.g. EB to Cockfosters, WB to Heathrow or Rayners) and use the right set numbers from my 'oldish' WTT.
