Cam Hack tutorial?
Can anyone point me in the direction of a tutorial showing me how to modify the camcfg.dat file.
I have tried two different downloadable cam hacks but I would like to modify one to give me the best features of both.
Best regards
Michael

Thanks for the information chaps. I have now created a new CamHack which I feel gives a better range of opportunities for screenshots and for shunting. Amongs the changes I have modified the #6 view to be in the 6 foot and at eye level. also the #4 view now has a more zoomed efect.
Personally I am quite happy with it but If anyone would like to beta test it for me please let me know.
Best regards
Michael

Ian. Those settings are ok but they put the shunter right out over the ajoining track. so, if you are in a yard with static consists you can't see a thing.
Tim. The 5 works ok. Just checked using the Swanage route and stock. As for the #7 view, this will only work in areas the route editor has designated as a yard. Unfortunately not many do. I've just checked it again and had fun flying around inside Carlisle Citadel station on the Midland Settle Carlisle route..
With the #4 view the things I have changed are the FOV setting to give a more "zoom lens" effect and also modified the point on which the camera centres. This is now more towards the front of the locomotive (usually the smokebox door) or just behind the cab on diesels.
Best regards

A few shots taken using the #7 yard cam. I flew into the south 'box to get the first two then onto the footbridge for the last. Nearly banged my head on the roof though. I'll have to watch where I'm going instead of looking at all the ladies on the platform.

I'd recommend the Yard Cam mods as seen on the first link at the top of the page by Kevin1. Enterprise has yard views in all the main yards. You can zoom for miles on the full setting.
