BATS Southern Add-on

Post by spitfiresrbest »

I have read posts on these forums and on the BATS forums and haven't been able to find an answer to my question.
I am very happy with the product generally but I have found that my computer has been crashing more often and performing much more slowly than on any other complex route I have run in the past. Does anyone else find that this route is more demanding graphics-wise than most others?

Hi
There is a patch to make the addon less demanding for older PCs.
Unfortunately it is a large download, so I personally haven't been able to use it yet,but I believe others have had great sucess.
I don't know when the DVD sold in shops will change, and I haven't received a reply from the 3 emails I sent the publishers Contact Sales (strange name for a business thats not good at either)
But the Cds direct from BATS have already been upgraded.
Cheers
Jon

If you have Dorset coast, is it worth buying this add on as well?

Still have problems myself even after installing patch.

Some activities use the wrong stock (eg theres an M7 activity that actually has you in a 0-6-0) and there are 2 activities that crash my PC (one is where you take a hired MN on a jaunt from Basingstoke)

Have you raised these at the BATs forum ?, if not please do, if you have try again :).

Re the activities, odd that as all were rewritten, could be a conflict between old and new setups or consists, the orginal patch did not remove the old consists and could cause problems etc.

As I say, pop over to BATs they may be able to help more this time around.

Best

Jon,

Correct, CDs are updated, not sure on DVDs, will chase this up, failing that if you let BATs know of your download issues via PM or mail l'm sure the patches can be put on a CD and posted if that helps.

If you register your product with Contact Sales they are only too willing to send out a revised CD with ALL the very latest patches on, which includes a revised activity 13, which was causing some PC issues.

Hi
I did register my copy, which is a DVD, with Contact Sales last September.
They answered me in December, saying they would tell me when they had news.
I've emailed them 3 times since then, with no reply.
Its a pity as they were very efficient over the NVR.
