fiction WCML Euston-Wolverhampton

Post by madmardy »

Ok i'm really going for this one
a fictionalised version of the WCML with most stations between
Euston and Wolverhampton it will also include trent valley loop (probably only to nuneaton at this point) midland loop anf the northampton loop.

I am intending to go quite a lot further up in the future,Glassgow maybe?

NO i've really simplified euston to watford
for three reasons

1) this is my first majoe route don't want to get too complicated
2) i don't have any track plans (remember this is a fictious route based on the WCML

3)With london i dunno what the effect of frame rates will be

i will probably re hash all of the euston area in a next version

Very sensible .... if you create something that gives an impression of the WCML .... that gives good frame rates in MSTS .... you have a winner!

To do it accurately .... you would indeed be the 'Madmardy'

What time period are we looking at .... the broader the better 8)

Of course Bletchley must be 100% accurate :P

Wasn't Bletchley knocked down, moved and rebuilt as Milton Keynes? :D

i think the reason for that is that it passes through a larger number of major cities and on the whole is a more industrial route

Basil ....

They did knock Bletchley down in 1960 something ....

A fine building .... rebuilt with a 'workmans hut'.

Only willpower keeps it up.

Its also popular cos its more scenic and goes through nice places .... and Rugby.

If its only an impression .... thats all that can be achieved with MSTS at the moment.

Some lines have to do 125mph .... simply to get somewhere interesting .... before the passengers get bored  .

Incoming .....

Wolverhampton High-level

Post by 46009 »

I am making a branchline from Wolverhampton Low-level to Stourbridge. We should collaborate on the high/low level station buildings. You can do the viaduct for high level :D

You should complete the route up to Carlisle to meet the S&C or maybe up to Glasgow
