FUDE v1.2

Post by ka959 »

I'm back again, and have a problem for some of you in the UK, who've run the FUDE 1.2 route and know a bit about it.

My problem is that I installed this version of the route, and had no problems - until I entered the Activity Editor. Then it gave me a dialogue box saying at least 15 consist files were missing, so I'm led to believe.

Amongst them are Freightliner.con, BR Class 31b Loco.con Tanker.con and Class 37 Coal.con etc. I could find no mention in the docs about these consist files, and couldn't find them in a possible separate folder after installation, and what loco files are needed for possible download.

I thought I might look for the 1.1 version of FUDE, to see if these consists were included with the older version, but can't find it with a search of this site's download areas - only version 1.2

Can anyone please tell me where the older version is located, and where I can get the consist files I need - and the locos / trainsets needed, or will I have to make them myself ? Sorry for the questions, but I'm a bit puzzled here. And I also think that the Flying Scotsman winter "one way" trip to Brendam Jctn. doesn't have an end marker for the path the train takes, as the activity won't end by itself I don't think, as it should, when the 1400 departure time is reached. No timetable times after Brendam, and it just lets you carry on from there. Has anyone else noticed this ?

Regards...

Hello Jim

I'm sorry it's taken a couple of days to spot your question, but I hope I can help.

The missing consists which you have mentioned are familiar, but they are from one or more add-on activities for FUDE, not the original FUDE1.2 installation - that did include several activities, but they used only default MSTS stock. They were very crude activities, included to get the thing "off-the-ground" - that explains the problem you mentioned with the SMLR One Way Trip activity not ending properly.

The 1.1 version won't help in this situation - it was only around for a couple of weeks and had errors (mainly textures and signals) which were corrected in version 1.2. - these missing consists were not a part of version 1.1 either.

There were five activities included with the original downloaded route: Airport Local Passenger, NB Steam Passenger, SMLR One Way Trip, SMLR Round Trip and Sunday Replacement - all using default stock.

If you look in the FUDE/Activities folder, are there any other activities showing? Have you tried Route-Riter - the "List Rolling Stock for Selected Route" should show only default MSTS stock for the newly-installed FUDE route without any extra activities added.

Please feel free to PM or e-mail me if you have continuing problems.

Best wishes for now

When i first downloaded FUDE which was a while ago now i had same problems when using the activity writer so all i did was went to FUDE's services folder and deleted all what was in there. i then did it's path folder, activity folder, and traffic folder. After that all was ok. Its like having a fresh start for the route. But remeber route must have at least one path or it will not show up in msts. :D
