Which routes make you keep checking back?

Post by NiallGray »

Just to gauge interest, which of the routes in production (non-commercial)* are you looking forward to the most?

Personally, I can't wait for the second part of the Glasgow to Carlisle route with the extra suburban lines.
(Likewise the Glasgow - Ayr route I'll keep tabs on).

The Gatwick - Bognor route if completed will be one I'll gladly play. There's loads of southern routes about but I'll never say no to another!

I'd love to see a MML route completed. As a kid I loved going to St Pancras. I need a good route for my peaks! :D

The North London Line holds special memories so this route would go down well with me.

Finally the c2c route is something I like the look of from the initial screenshots.

I'm sure there's others, but this is enough to keep me going for now!

So what are you lot looking forward to?

* I'm making the assumption all the above are non-commerical. If not -- sorry!

Good post.
I really appreciate Woodhead v2.2. A lot of effort I am sure, but surely an apparent waste of time when faced by the mighty DEM. I'm looking forward to Woodhead v3. I am happy to say the trackwork really did suck, as the author would agree. However, I completely agree with the bod who said it "ouzes atmosphere".
It looks like Woodhead v3 isn't going to happen though, at least in the form that we know it!

MML is a must for me as I used to be a Kentish Town/Bedford Relief Signalman on this line. When signal boxes were signal boxes though!!

Great Western? Is'nt that the branch line that joins the Southern at Reading?

I'd go with Kieran along with Woodhead and the Somerset & Dorset (whatever Kuju comes up with). Mid East UK is already looking good so that goes without saying.

For a "Dead Sim" posts like this make you realise just how much effort is still going in.

Oh....forgot the Fenchurch Street Line too!

One route I've never seen (so I keep checking for) is my local route - Manchester - Sheffield via the Hope Valley.

I'd love to see it - I did once ask if anyone had started and someone did reply that they had but had given up, so I had a play myself. If I am lucky and get to grips with this route building (I'm a CAD operator so I thought it would be simple enough once you follow rules and logic) I might have got somewhere. 9 months on, I think I've got realistic trackwork for the LeFarge cement factory -> Hope station, and, err, thats it!

So if it ever appearred, I'd kiss the person, or, errhherm, take them out for a beer.

Baggsy this my route for KRS / TMTS (only joking),
