Ever since i first had msts i've not been able to make activities, i can create paths and services etc for AI trains, and get them to run in activity editor, on the map, but in the actual game, the services never appear, in the latest case the AI service is supposed to start 5 seconds after the activity starts, any idea what i might possibly be doing wrong?

Wookey - you are the second person ive come across with this problem. Its curious indeed.
Firstly I assume other activities work ok, with AI traffic appearing where it should. Its just your own ones which dont appear?
Secondly if you run the activity in the editor, can you see the AI traffic there? If not its a corrupt hwrenderer key.
Is it for a single track route? Try making the AI start time 5 seconds before the activity starts, use veryify start position in the editor to see if that throws up any errors. If it doesn't, run the activity in the sim and see if you can see the train disappearing behind you.
