Doing my nut it.........

Post by wrighty »

This is really getting on me. I decided lets have a bit more AI in the world, so have notched the slider up to 75%. Just spent over an hour waiting to leave Gatwick, but what really done my head in, is the AI that taxi to the beginning of the runway then just dissappear into thin air. I must have been behind 15 Aircraft and only 4 actually took off. The rest done a Lord Lucan on me. Is there a way to either make these aircraft take off or not appear at all and stop clogging up the airport.
I want some repairs doing to my cooker as it backfired and burnt my knob off.

They disappear once they've been waiting a certain length of time without moving - this is particularly a problem at busy airports. You could either turn down the traffic settings so that there is less congestion, or use something like FS9 configurator (available from Avsim) to speed up the default taxi speed to get traffic clearing runways faster and so reduce congestion.

Just hit Speed x 8 for a few seconds, if you're getting swamped with AI aircraft. Clears 'em all away at least until the next batch generates.

I hate it when you're just about to land (descending on the ILS) and another aircraft comes up from behind and overtakes you! I usually have to turn the AI off at some point. :(

Yes that's a pain in the wotsits. Look out a program called AISmooth which helps a bit as far as AI taking over airports and doing multiple go-arounds is concerned. It's freeware from the usual download sources.
