Berlin Subway throttle query

Post by jimlorrimore »

Dear All,

Just bought the EXCELLENT Berlin Subway, wow, very impressed indeed !

Just one question, the manual says that the throttle can be set from 0% to 100% but I can seem to only have it either on (100%) or off (0%), nothing in between.

Am I reading the manual incorrectly, doing something wrong, or just being plain stupid ? !

Regards

Jim

No that's what it is in real life, it's full throttle or no throttle.

Yes - I found it a bit disturbing at first, but it's quite easy to use when you get the hang of it. :)

Hi, you can allways isolate one of the motors, for a slower start off

Or use real mode, thrash the unit for a few days without a general repair, and keep using it till is falls apart, oh yeah, don't clean it either really does get dirty ;)

I love this route, it is, in my opinion, possibly the best commercial addon for MSTS so far, what with the reflective shiny surfaces and the real mode, just makes the sim THAT much better.

The throttle is strange but I am used to it now, I just take it off when I reach 2km above maximum speed and that seems to work.

I think Berlin U-Bahn stock does also have a speed pre-selector, but this may be too complicated for TS. Remembering from a guide book, U-Bahn trains can be set to run at 10,25,40,or 70kph, and then the driver just uses the "on/off" power button.

I hope this is helpful to someone.
